The first dance is a throw back to the days when Kings and Queens ruled the world. The First Dance was used to open a ball or a special event and was always led by the guest of honour who was usually a member of the Royal Family. But unfortunately, despite the huge success of Strictly Comes Dancing, most of us these days have two left feet when it comes to formal dancing and the classic ballroom dance is a thing of the past.
Instead the First Song has become the focus of attention as the First Dance is often now a slow dance to a song that has a lot of meaning to the Bride and Groom.

Highly choreographed dance routines have also become very popular over the years and there are some amazing routines floating around on YouTube. Dance routines with the full entourage of the Bride Tribe and the Groom and his Wingmen are becoming growing in popularity; these routines take a lot of time and commitment from everyone involved but if you pull it off it will give your guests something to talk abut for a long time to come!

Here are the songs the married members of the Bliss Team had for their weddings:

And if you are looking for some inspiration, then head over to the Boston Shakers Live Lounge at The Liverpool & North West Wedding Show in January. The catwalk songs also take us weeks to find as we like to match the song to the style of dresses or scene and we often get requests from brides after the show asking for the playlist so who knows, you might find your song at the show!
