The Liverpool Wedding Show is now sooooooooo big it’s had a name change!

The Liverpool Wedding Show first took place in January 2011 in the giant marquee at Knowsley Safari. It took place on 15th and 16th January …. in the middle of a storm with wind levels that were very nearly at evacuation levels …. but it didn’t stop brides and grooms visiting the show and the following year we had to increase the size of the marquee.

Every January from then we had to add extra marquees to house the influx of exhibitors and visitors until January 2014 we realised we had outgrown the marquee and were up to capacity.

The Exhibition Centre Liverpool was being built and was due to open in September 2015 so for the January 2015 show we moved to temporary accommodation at Aintree Racecourse Equestrian Centre.

In September 2015, The Liverpool Wedding Show was the first consumer show to take place in the purpose built Exhibition Centre Liverpool, next to the M&S Bank Arena (which at the time was known as the Echo Arena). We gained an extra 1,600sqm and the show was house in 5,600 metres of event space which enabled us to not only grow the number of exhibitors but we could open the doors to more visitors.

January 2016 is the show that will not be named (when the sub station for the Kings Dock area literally exploded and left the whole of the Kings Dock with no electricity), this was every Organiser’s worst nightmare but everyone rallied around and we managed to open the doors again for the 2nd day of the show.

Since moving to the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, both visitor numbers and exhibitors have increased with an influx of both exhibitors and visitors from outside the Liverpool area; and as such The Liverpool Wedding Show has outgrown it’s name ….and from January it will be known as The North West Wedding Show…. we know everyone will always refer to the show as The Liverpool Wedding Show and we are fine with that because we love everything abut this show and what it has become but the official name will be The North West Wedding Show #northwestwedfest

We continue to offer the same high standard, with the best possible experience for everyone involved.  I think everyone we was involved in last month’s show can agree it was one of the best yet!

Exhibitors come and go … then come back again but everyone is welcome at our show, we treat everyone equally and we want everyone to have fun, be inspired and have a very successful show – whether you are getting married, are exhibitor, are a contractor or visiting with friends and family.

January 2020’s show is nearly a sell out for stands so if you want to get involved, please let us know asap before someone else gets your stand.
